Very happy to accidentally find myself staying here and being able confirm first hand what I had read about the friendliness of the place. Clean rooms and hearty meals was compounded with a genuine friendliness from staff and management. It was proven to me early on when I asked about hikes in the area and a guy from the kitchen was shortly at my table and talking about his personal favourites and a recommendation that proved spot on for my desires. I would be happy to stay here again.
My husband, dog and I only stayed here for one night but we’ll definitely be back. Very cute, clean and convenient with a cute pub on location! Everyone who worked there was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
Reasonable rates and really kind, good folks who are making hidden food gems! Excellent place to stop as you’re going through BC.
Friendly owners and staff, adorable dogs everywhere, nice clean room, and bbq that has no business being so darn good. They were super accommodating for everything too — we enjoyed the pulled pork so much at dinner that we asked whether it’d be available for breakfast, which it usually isn’t, but they offered to set some aside especially for us. Made our stay!
Edit: Breakfast was good too — potatoes were crispy outside and super fluffy inside. Whoever’s doing the cooking is doing an absolute bang-up job
Perfect! Nice rooms, really lends itself to both snowmobiling and touring around town. Just perfect, great staff, restaurant, price all great. And, super cute dogs.
PERFECTION!!! Clean, cozy, comfortable, reasonable rates, newly & nicely renovated. A lot of thoughtful attention to detail that you just don’t find in your typical hotel – gives this place a welcoming feeling. Ignore the website photos of dated bed spreads – though clean & comfy – they are soon to be replaced with a updated version. We had a amazing night’s sleep- I am impressed, best one in this this entire 2 + week trip. During high season, both in winter & summer – there is a pub & BBQ Restaurant on the premises. Yummy. The owners are so sweet – we had a horrible nightmarish night at a establishment near Golden – my husband & I were both exhausted. The owners were kind enough to allow us to use our room several hours before the normal check in time. Thank you – you saved the day, renewed our faith in humanity. Besides a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, you’ll have a gigantic “Smokey the Bear” across the road, several hot tubs & a sauna at your disposal, nice outside places to relax &/or picnic. Rooms come with small fridges, coffee maker, plenty of socket’s for charging the electric gadgets we all have. Forgot to mention – had a community kitchen on our floor – made breakfast a easy decision. Your canine companion is also allowed to stay in your room – something we dog owners who think of them as family members really appreciate. Great experience – awesome owners – wonderful stay. Intend to be a repeat customer.
